Dementia Caregiving

Once a month, St. Joseph's bakers are encouraged to provide purchased and/or baked goods (bars, cookies, muffins or fruit) to support this organization by bringing treats for 24 to Calvary Lutheran Church (7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley). To learn more visit about this ministry see Lyngblomsten/The Gathering.
Homebound Eucharistic Ministers
A caring group of people who provide hospitality (conversation, rosary, etc.) and serve the Eucharist at funerals and/or to those who are homebound, in Nursing Homes and/or hospitals. They offer the Eucharist to parishioners and those of the Catholic faith who deeply appreciate communion and connections to their Saint Joseph community. All ministers are trained. We encourage those homebound after an operation or diagnosis or their families to let us know so we can bring communion and include them in community prayer.
Meals on Wheels provides meals to seniors and disabled individuals within the local community. Time commitment: 1 hour, three times a month. Volunteer drivers pick up prepared meals and deliver to 8-10 homes. Substitute drivers are also needed. Delivery days are the 1st and 2nd Thursday and the 4th Wednesday of the month. Registered volunteers may bring children with them; children 18 and older will need to complete the associated registration paperwork.
Please contact CEAP to register, www.ceap.org. 763-566-9600
