Stephen Ministry is a caring ministry for those who are called to assist those in need and a compassionate ministry for those who are in need of consoling.
Stephen Ministers are volunteers that are VIRTUS trained and also receive specialized, supported training to provide one-to-one lay caring for those in need. Training for new Stephen Ministers begins in September each year, typically the third Thursday of the month at 7:00p.
These trained volunteers provide high quality, compassionate, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting or going through challenging times.
Stephen Ministers partner with parishioners on their journey through grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness and other life crises, providing listening, prayer, and emotional and spiritual support.
