Journey to Rome and Southern Italy with Father Michael
Over the years, I have led many pilgrimages – most of them to the Holy Land.
I enjoy seeing how travel with a spiritual purpose can transform the faith of those who journey and how parishioners return having deepened their relationship with God and with one another.
At this time, of course, it is not possible to travel to the Holy Land, so, I hope you will consider joining me in traveling to Rome and Southern Italy, November 4 – 14, 2024.
We begin on the Amalfi Coast, one of the most beautiful places in the world. We visit Sorrento, Positano, the Island of Capri, and ancient Pompeii. Then we travel to Rome where we will experience the glory of that ancient city – the Colosseum, the Forum, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, and many beautiful piazzas – as well as the heart of our Catholic Church. We will visit the four major Papal Basilicas, celebrating Mass in each one and have a private after-hours tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel (free from the crowds). We will also visit the Pope’s summer home, Castel Gandolfo, in the hills outside Rome. On our last day, we enjoy the privilege of the Papal Audience in Saint Peter’s Square.
