St. Joseph ministries support many people in our community
and assists in the collection and recycling of items.
St. Joseph Collection Center
Items are collected for different organizations who support people in our community.
Donations can be brought to the Parish Center Collection Center, located in the hallway going into the dining area.
Please see below for items that we collect year-round to support those in need.
Together, we can make a difference!
Cellphones
We work with agencies who recycle cell phones to keep hazardous substances, found inside cell phones, out of the trash so they can’t damage our environment.
Eye Glasses
We work with Lions International who has gained recognition for their work to improve sight and prevent blindness in people around the world.
Food and Clothing
Dry packaged/canned food, gently-used clothing, and announced seasonal items are collected in the large collection cart in the Parish Center Sanctuary.
St. Joseph's has worked with PRISM since its inception to support local hungry and homeless families.
Ink Cartridges
Almost 97% of ink and toner cartridge materials can be reused or recycled. By recycling cartridges, it prevents them from ending up in landfills thus reducing pollution. Reuse of your cartridge is the highest form of recycling.
In most cases, ink cartridges can be refilled 3 to 7 times!
Box Tops for Education
St. Joseph's supports this online program to support various local schools. Just download the "Box Tops for Education" app, find and select a participating school to support. From there, follow the directions, scan your receipt of products labeled (as shown on the left), and money directly goes into the school account. Looking for a school to support? Sonneyson Elementary School located adjacent to our Parish Center in New Hope is a good choice!
