Stewardship of Creation

Catholic tradition insists that we show our respect for the Creator by our stewardship of creation.  We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God's creation.  This environmental challenge has fundamental moral and ethical dimensions which cannot be ignored.

There are literally hundreds of ways to do this - a search on the internet, picking up a magazine, watching a news program, and yes, the parish bulletin (see the “Green Corner”).  What happens in God’s creation impacts everyone.  We are all interconnected and one decision, big or small, can make a difference.  Here are some questions to reflect on:

How might I be able to simplify my lifestyle?

What would I be able to give up or use less?

What patterns or behaviors can I change?

What household improvements can I make that would help in the long run?

What changes should/can the parish make?
