The High School Mission Trip group is collecting shoes for children and youth of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota where they served this summer. They saw children in the community without shoes; a basketball camp for girls was cancelled due to the lack of athletic shoes at the high school. Our youth are continuing to feel called to serve the children of Pine Ridge and are seeking your support.
We will be collecting shoes until October 11. Please bring in gently used or new shoes/boots in a bag with the size of the shoes labelled on the outside. A green drop off bin is in the Gathering Area of the Parish Center. Contact Erin Schueller in the Parish Office with any questions.
Super Service Saturday - a service event for parishioners of all ages.
We'll be out in the community serving others as the hands and feet of Christ.
Looking forward to a great day of service on October 10th!
We will be serving at Second Harvest, Feed My Starving Children, The Food Group, Can-do-Canines, St. Therese Nursing Home, Mission Nursing Home, Home Free, praying the Rosary at Robbinsdale Clinic and doing a litter pickup at French Lake Park.
The NYSE market may be resetting, but God reigns forever. Thank you for all of the stock purchased in our youth!
Here’s a challenge from a fellow parishioner: Jesus called 12 to join him in learning & sharing the Good News. He had a decided advantage....for starters He is God. Second, there were about 1000 times fewer people in the world back then, or about 2 apostles for every million souls on Earth. So today we the Catholic Community of St Joseph are preparing to send 16 young adults to NCYC to also learn & share the Good News to our world that so desperately needs it. Their work is cut out for them: that's: about half a billion souls per person. But they have US, St Joes! Who can sponsor one student? Or who can contribute to help sponsor one student? Just imagine the return on your investment ...building the kingdom of God one soul at a time. Contact Erin in the Parish Office to learn more or make a contribution.
